Job Title: Ocean Pricing Manager
- Location: 10th Floor, Room C2 719, KPN Tower Rama IX Rd, Bang Kapi, Huai Khwang, Bangkok 10310, Thailand
- Salary Range: 70,000 - 100,000 THB / Month
- Reporting to Country Manager (Indian National)
- Subordinates Currently - 2
- Reporting to Country Manager (Indian National)
- Nationality Required: Thai
- Languages: English and Thai
- Experience Required: 8-10 years in ocean freight pricing or related field or Ocean procurement. Need to have relationships with carriers at various levels
- Working Days & Hours:
- Days: Monday Friday
- Time: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
- Dress Code: Formal (Monday Thursday), Semi Casual (Friday)
- Interview Rounds: 2-3 face-to-face rounds with Thai and Indian Nationals from the Management Teams.

Job Overview: The Ocean Pricing Manager will oversee and develop pricing strategies for ocean freight services, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with global procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead a team in executing the global procurement strategy for ocean freight, including managing allocated capacity and monitoring carrier invoicing.
- Pricing Development: Develop and define internal local rates and ensure alignment with globally set rates and guidelines.
- Rate Management: Handle rate inquiries, tenders, and RFQs, ensuring competitive pricing and successful business acquisition.
- Negotiations: Participate in contract and price negotiations with carriers and subcontractors to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
- Market Optimization: Forecast and procure locally and on the spot market, optimizing and consolidating in line with regional logistics strategies and guidelines.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor carrier performance, analyze service quality, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Project Management: Define and set up internal local rates in the system, manage costing for special transportation needs, and ensure smooth implementation of pricing strategies.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of pricing strategies and support business development.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on pricing, market trends, and performance to management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in ocean freight pricing or related roles within the freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics industry.

Experience with multinational companies (MNCs) is preferred. - Knowledge: Deep understanding of ocean freight products and pricing strategies.
- Skills: Strong project management and negotiation skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Effective communication skills in English and Thai. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
