Job Description:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Lead will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department

and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing

for the organization's products and/or development processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train quality assurance staff.
  • Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
  • Communicate quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Coordinate product testing processes.
  • Participate in product testing.
  • Identify and analyze issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when
  • problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Review client, customer, and user feedback.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required.
  • Five years of experience in related field required with supervisory experience a plus.
  • Effectively report the overall status of his team to higher management.
  • Ability to communicate properly with non-technical as well as technical people, especially explaining the technical challenges to the management team.
  • Should be able to diplomatically deny any request from higher management or the development team when the overall product quality is not perfect for release.
  • Training the testers from the beginning to follow standard procedures to avoid less detailed and bulky test cases.
  • Understand the requirement, come up with the QA effort estimates using the right estimation techniques, Prepare test summary report, Test Strategy, Test exit criteria.
  • Understand the functionality of different track specific test cases and End to End test cases.
  • Expert in Client handling, Co-ordinate & communicate with all the client stakeholders like Dev team, BSA, Internal teams.
