Job Title: Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager

Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality management systems in alignment with ISO/TS 16949 standards, ensuring the timely and effective resolution of quality-related issues across all departments. This role involves working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze customer concerns and internal quality issues, guiding corrective actions, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization. The successful candidate will represent the company as a leading insulated wire supplier, driving quality consciousness that translates into exceptional customer satisfaction.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Oversee all QA/QC operations within the facility.
  • Develop and implement a robust quality system to differentiate TH plant in the market while minimizing inefficiencies and costs.
  • Lead QA/QC teams to meet quality targets established by management and headquarters.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain a Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001, aligning local systems with HQ requirements.
  • Conduct Lead Auditor training for ISO9001.
  • Interact with departments such as Production, Purchasing, and Sales, as well as suppliers, on all quality-related issues.
  • Recommend halting production during quality problems on the manufacturing line.
  • Determine the disposition of rejected materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to resolve significant quality issues impacting the organization.
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives and quality-conscious activities.
  • Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance and suggest necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly reports and proposals for quality improvements for management review.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards in accordance with the company's quality policies, especially on the production floor.
  • Undertake special projects as initiated by management.
  • Navigate effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Update and create quality procedures to enhance product quality.
  • Define quality control plans tailored to specific customer requirements and product families.
  • Ensure adherence to work instructions and quality control plans within applicable QMS procedures.
  • Plan, conduct, and follow up on Quick Process Audits for each machine twice a year.
  • Perform tests and controls to verify product conformity, from incoming inspections to final testing of finished goods.
  • Manage customer visits, audits, and FAT, leading the resolution of customer claims.
  • Actively participate in improvement teams focused on reducing internal nonconformities and associated costs (e.g., QIT, SGA).

Safety Responsibilities

  • Commit to working safely and adhering to all safety rules.
  • Recognize and avoid hazards, reporting all accidents and illnesses promptly.
  • Inspect tools for safety before use and wear assigned personal protective equipment.

Authorities

  • Authorized to halt production if products do not meet customer requirements.
  • Authorized to stop production to prevent excessive rejection rates due to quality issues.
  • Designated as the plant Quality Management Representative (QMR).

Position Specification

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years in quality-related roles and at least 5 years in a management position.
  • Proficient in QA tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement frameworks such as QCC, 5S, Kaizen, JIT, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience implementing quality systems within a multinational corporation.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
  • Background in initiating and maintaining vendor QA programs.
  • Skilled in planning and conducting quality audits.
  • Proficient in statistical process control techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership in delivering results.
