Job Responsibilities:
Data Strategy and Governance:
- Thorough Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the business and data strategy.
- Designing and Implementing Data Strategies: Create and implement data strategies and systems that align with the organizations goals.
- Data Governance: Overseeing the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Team Management: Leading, motivating, and managing technical teams.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other C-suite executives, especially the Chief Digital and Technology Officer (CDTO) and senior business stakeholders.
Data Utilization and Business Outcomes:
- Driving Business Outcomes: Drive use-cases and utilization of data to deliver business outcomes, beyond just governance and compliance.
- Data Analytics: Implementing proper data analytics to identify pain points throughout the business process, thereby increasing profit and stakeholder trust.
- Responsible for creating a data management system, fosters a culture of data sharing, and leverages analytics to improve business outcomes, playing a crucial role in shaping an organizations data-driven future.
Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
- Additional certification in the field data analytics, machine learning and AI is an added advantage. Leadership Experience: Significant experience in leadership roles, preferably within data management, analytics, or technology.
- Data Management: Proven track record in data management, governance, and strategy.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the property development industry is an added advantage.
- Data Analytics and Machine Learning: Proficiency in data analytics tools, machine learning, and statistical analysis in major cloud platforms eg. Azure, AWS, Google.
- Database Management: Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL, etc.).
- Big Data Technologies: Understanding of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.).
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align data initiatives with overall business strategy.
- Change Management: Drive mindset/cultural change within the organization.
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP): Similar or relevant certifications is a bonus.
- Other Industry-Specific Certifications: Certifications related to data privacy, security, or compliance is beneficial.
- Understanding of business processes, revenue models, and customer needs.
- Ability to translate data insights into actionable business decisions.
- The GMDA should have a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to drive successful data initiatives.
