Position: Factory Manager

Tasks and Responsibilities (as Production Manager):

  • Autonomously direct the production process, guaranteeing the delivery times and conditions as defined by the company, in line with the company objectives for the production;
  • Manage all the tasks assigned by Management, operating under the directives, plans and strategies discussed and approved for the policies and processes of the production;
  • Supervise, manage and coordinate the production activities, managing the relationship between the production departments;
  • Provide guidelines for production, coordinate the production policies and materials;
  • Coordinate and organize an efficient management of human and material resources available;
  • Take responsibility of any irregularity that should happen in production, from production delays to the collaboration between staff members, to failure to reach quality or other objectives set;
  • Interact with any third party (suppliers and customers) for the aspects that directly affect the production process and the product quality;
  • Interact with the R&D Department for optimization of processes;
  • Be aware of the mission and objectives of the company;
  • Periodically suggest to Management ways to improve and optimize the individual production departments, increase the efficiency, reduce consumptions and improve procedures;
  • Produce periodic analysis and report of the production trends and progresses;
  • Keep updated all the record of the instruments and tools under his/her scope, including their back-up;
  • Provide preliminary guidelines of timing and costs for each project in the pipeline;
  • Always make sure that the staff is up-to-date with the norms and regulations that directly influence their scope of work;
  • Maintain and improve the motivation and professionalism of the and staff by providing objectives and tasks for them, promoting their core skills and evaluating the results;
  • Make sure that all staff is performing all their tasks at the best of their abilities, following all the rules and regulations as presented by the company and keep track of their conduct over time;

Tasks and Responsibilities (as Factory Manager):

  • Supervise the operations related to the production planning and coordinate where necessary, including office, warehouse, QC and testing activities;
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline factory operations;
  • Keep all the documentation and data gathering under their responsibility always up-to-date;
  • Oversee, evaluate and update where necessary production processes;
  • Oversee, monitor HR processes, especially involving the Production departments, including Testing, Warehouse and QC, including recruitment, onboarding, performance review and offboarding;
  • Monitor QC processes to ensure minimal impact on quality during factory operations;
  • Ensure that all factory machinery and facilities are in good working order, are maintained regularly and operate according to company standards;
  • Analyze production and site data to identify and resolve production issues;
  • Produce RCA and corrective actions where necessary (with support from QC staff);
  • Regularly inspect finished product to ensure that QC standards are met (with support from QC and Testing staff);
  • Motivate factory staff to work to achieve targets and work on continuous improvement.
  • Monitor warehouse and inventory activities, ensure that Warehouse staff is operating under company guidelines and directives;
  • Take responsibility of health and safety protocols, implement new activities to improve protocols, health and safety practices, tools and knowledge on shopfloor;
  • Resolve concerns voiced by production staff;
  • Monitor overall expenditure of the factory plant and coordinate budget and expenses approval with Management;
  • Improve and coordinate improvement plan as agreed with Management on regular basis;
  • Provide critical analysis and problem-solving in daily operations management.

Other tasks and responsibilities might vary depending on special and specific requirements made by the Management.

Key performance Indicators:

  • Completion of production on schedule;
  • OT, additional variable costs per project;
  • Non compliances found in production processes, including QC checks and NCs found on site after delivery;
  • Achievement to lead the staff to follow company directives to reach company objectives;
  • Statistics on RCA to internal NC caused directly during production processes;
  • Non-compliance of established QC processes;
  • Yearly achievement to stay within production budget for expenditure;
  • Overall customer satisfaction with production processes and products and services delivered (monitored by QC);
  • Ability to ensure that production activities are completed within schedule, including back office activities.
