Role Summary:
The Managing Director of Ambient Quality is responsible for steering quality initiatives within Ambient operations, ensuring alignment with the companys strategic objectives. This role encompasses leadership in quality control, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to uphold the highest standards of product safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Set and execute the quality strategy for Ambient operations, aligning with the organizations overarching goals. Develop and manage resources effectively to achieve key functional quality objectives.
  • Product Quality Standards: Ensure products meet stringent quality, safety, health, and environmental standards. Direct quality protocols in product development, setting high benchmarks for production processes and quality assurance.
  • Compliance Management: Lead the adherence to global and local quality standards (ISO, IFS, BRC, etc.). Establish robust systems for compliance, including conducting regular audits and overseeing corrective actions as needed.
  • Issue Resolution & Process Improvement: Oversee the resolution of major quality issues, collaborating across teams and escalating concerns to executive management when necessary. Implement frameworks for managing change and preventing recurrence of issues.
  • Customer & Supplier Quality Interface: Develop structured feedback systems to capture and resolve customer concerns. Lead efforts to ensure supplier quality aligns with internal standards through regular assessments and audits.
  • Unified Quality System Development: Oversee the creation and upkeep of a comprehensive quality management system, promoting consistency across Ambient operations.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Inspire, develop, and manage a high-performing team. Encourage continuous learning, talent retention, and leadership development within the Ambient Quality team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Quality Direction: Define quality improvement goals, oversee budget allocation, and set key performance indicators for Ambient Quality.
  • Customer-Focused Quality Standards: Cultivate a customer-centered approach to quality, ensuring that all production meets regulatory and environmental standards.
  • Support for Product Development & Innovation: Guide teams in integrating quality learnings into new and existing products, staying ahead in technology and production practices.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance through both internal and external audits, providing expertise and frameworks for the Ambient Quality team.
  • Supplier Standards and Audits: Lead supplier quality initiatives, ensuring standards are met through consistent audits and corrective action plans.
  • Unified Quality Framework: Maintain a cohesive quality manual and management system, ensuring consistency in quality protocols across operations.
  • People & Culture: Drive a culture of motivation, engagement, and talent development, collaborating with HR to attract and nurture quality-focused professionals.

  • Proficiency in English is required.
