About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated National Sales & Marketing Manager to lead our pharmaceutical operations in Vietnam. This key leadership position is responsible for building and executing sales and marketing strategies, leading the commercial team, and driving business growth through both B2B and B2C channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Vietnam pharmaceutical market, regulatory environment, and distribution models.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement the annual sales plan aligned with company goals and local market potential.
  • Direct and monitor the national field force (medical reps, key account managers) to ensure high productivity, proper territory coverage, and goal achievement.
  • Build sales pipelines and drive execution through field activities, distributor coordination, and hospital/institution engagement.
  • Drive and monitor hospital tender participation, prescription generation, and pharmacy pull strategies.

2. Marketing Management:

  • Develop and execute brand and product marketing plans with a focus on both ethical (Rx) and commercial strategies.
  • Manage product launches, including training, campaign planning, and KOL engagement.
  • Oversee the creation and approval of promotional materials in line with regulatory guidelines.
  • Plan and coordinate CMEs, conferences, booth setups, and digital activities to strengthen market presence.

3. Business Development & Channel Expansion:

  • Identify and establish new pharmacy chain partnerships, modern trade opportunities, and regional distribution channels.
  • Explore opportunities for new product in-licensing, portfolio expansion, and institutional partnerships.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and proactively suggest strategies to improve market share and brand visibility.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with regulatory, logistics, finance, and medical affairs teams to ensure smooth product supply, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Coordinate with regional/global teams for strategic alignment and brand direction.
  • Support tender documentation, local import activities, and distributor training as needed.

5. People Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales and marketing professionals across Vietnam.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, training needs assessments, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Foster a results-driven, collaborative, and compliant work culture.

6. Reporting & Analysis:

  • Monitor and report sales performance, market trends, and ROI of marketing activities.
  • Analyze sales data to identify gaps, opportunities, and risk areas, and implement corrective actions.
  • Present monthly and quarterly business performance updates to the leadership team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Medicine, or related field.
  • MBA in Marketing or Healthcare Management preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing.
  • At least 3 years in a senior management or national-level role in the Vietnam pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Vietnams regulatory, hospital tender, and distribution ecosystem.
  • Experience in managing both B2B and B2C models is a strong advantage.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Vietnamese and English (spoken and written).
  • Tech-savvy with strong reporting and analytical skills (Excel, CRM, BI tools).
