*Role Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in handling heavy and out-gauge cargo projects, with a strong understanding of break bulk vessels and operational logistics. This role involves building and maintaining client relationships, driving project sales, and ensuring smooth execution of cargo operations.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Sales & Business Development:*
Identify and develop business opportunities in the heavy and out-gauge cargo sector.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, vessel chartering companies, and freight forwarders.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients and service providers.
*Operational Expertise:*
Oversee logistics planning and execution for heavy and oversized cargo.
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate stowage and secure transport.
Provide solutions for handling non-standard cargo, including break bulk shipping.
*Vessel Handling:*
Coordinate with vessel chartering companies and manage break bulk vessel operations.
Ensure compliance with shipping and safety regulations during cargo handling.
Monitor vessel schedules, cargo loading, and discharge operations.
*Project Management:*
Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure project success.
Troubleshoot operational challenges and mitigate risks during project execution.
*Market Intelligence & Strategy:*
Stay updated on industry trends, vessel availability, and market rates.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve project efficiency and profitability.
Identify cross-selling opportunities and expand the companys market presence.
*Key Qualifications*
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Maritime Studies, or related field.
5+ years of experience in project sales, vessel chartering, or heavy cargo operations.
Deep understanding of break bulk vessels, charter party agreements, and cargo stowage.
Proven track record of managing complex logistics projects involving oversized cargo.
*Skills & Competencies*
Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
In-depth knowledge of heavy and out-gauge cargo handling equipment and processes.
Familiarity with maritime regulations, safety standards, and shipping documentation.
Excellent project management and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
*Preferred Background*
*Experience in vessel chartering companies, break bulk cargo operations, heavy lift cargo or project logistics firms.*
*Exposure to international markets and a strong professional network in the logistics industry.*
*Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, FIATA) is an advantage*
