Responsibilities for Technical Project Manager

Analyzes the business and technical compatibility of systems

Provides specialized IT and Web services in the management, coordination, scheduling and delivery of large and/or complex technology-based specialized IT project(s) driving projects through various stages of the project lifecycle including project initiation, planning, execution and closure

Defines and maintains project scope

Demonstrates techniques, equipment or procedures to others

Provides a variety of project management and consulting services in such areas as data analysis, reporting and research including evaluation of software tools, new technologies and process requirements

Develops and administers project budget

Think globally and cross-functionally in order to identify project dependencies and their impact, raise the dependency issues with the project sponsor and co-create solutions

Manage projects through entire project lifecycle (inception, design

The Technical PM will manage Engineering Vendor Team resourcing and Team Size ensuring they are optimized to support Internal Program Delivery

The Technical PM may be asked to maintain and update a list of outstanding decisions and unresolved issues

Qualifications for Technical Project Manager
Estimate the total scope, effort, and cost for the project
Identify and analyze risk and instigate avoidance activities
Assist in the review and analyze impacts to the existing portfolio as new projects are introduced
Minimum of professional experience in area of IT project management and/or web applications development
Must have strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
Must be able to juggle multiple priorities and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a must.
