Key Responsibility

1) Supplier and Distribution Management:

  • Seek new suppliers and persuade them to sell their products to the company.
    Collaborate with key suppliers to understand their distribution needs and align them with the company's requirements.
  • Negotiate trading terms and credit terms to ensure channel fit and competitiveness.
  • 2) Suppliers Development:
  • Identify different tiers of suppliers for our current product portfolio in the assigned category.
  • Take over and systematize current suppliers' networks.
  • Work with key suppliers to understand their needs, propose strategic partnerships, and action roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to onboard smaller suppliers and new sellers.
  • Negotiate trading terms and credit terms to ensure market competitiveness.
  • 3) Category Management:
  • Monitor the category for growth and margin.
  • Conduct market research to identify market prices.
  • Identify the selling price to ensure market competitiveness and support our front margin strategy.
  • Work with the trade marketing team to follow the marketing calendar.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to follow the stocking strategy.
  • Work with the business development team to update the drug database according to ATC 5 and other detailing content
  • 4) Collaboration with Internal Teams:
  • Partner with the marketing team to follow the marketing calendar and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure product availability and competitive pricing.
  • Coordinate with the business development team to propose and establish strategic partnerships
  • 5) Product Portfolio Management:
  • Develop and manage the product portfolio within the assigned category to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Identify and introduce new products to meet market demand and company objectives
  • 6) Performance Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on category performance and present findings to senior management.
  • Required Qualification & Skill Set:
  • 3+ years of experience as a category manager
  • Strong understanding of the Indian market, consumer behaviors and retail trends.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, category management tools and software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing market dynamics, consumer preferences and organizational priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
