About the job General Director (Marketing Industry)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the role of General Director (GD), you will be responsible for leading our organization towards profitable growth while upholding ethical standards in all operations. The ideal candidate will implement operational strategies, explore new market opportunities, and supervise all aspects of the business, including marketing, product development, IT, human resources, and financial performance. The primary functions of the position include:
1. Strategic and Operational Planning
Collaborate with various departments to formulate a strategic and operational plan aimed at achieving all operational objectives and expansion initiatives across the following areas:
- Marketing and Business Development: Partner with internal marketing teams and external marketing agencies to strategize marketing activities and allocate budgets.
- Product Development Team: Coordinate with the marketing team and suppliers/vendors for product planning, development, registration, production, and delivery.
- Information Technology: Direct the IT department in creating systems and platforms that enhance customer operations and optimize our ecosystem.
- Legal and Compliance Matters: Work with consultants and law firms to ensure adherence to legal requirements in all operational jurisdictions.
- Finance: Develop financial plans, budgets, and control mechanisms.
- Human Resources: Establish a human resource strategy and assessment framework.
- Research and Development: Participate in and oversee R&D projects.
2. Managing Business Activities
- Oversee sales/revenue growth and profitability of company to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Supervise the marketing and sales departments to guarantee the achievement of operational and productivity KPIs.
- Monitor financial performance and budget control.
- Work with Regional and Country teams, along with the finance department, to ensure the attainment of operational, financial KPIs, and business target achievements.
- Develop, monitor, and enhance business activities and processes, including product development and distribution, customer service satisfaction, and quality management processes.
- Build strong relationships with global partners and vendors.
- Identify problems/issues, devise and implement effective solutions, and monitor outcomes to ensure the smoothness operation of the business.
- Oversee the daily functions of the organization and directly manage the Head of Department.
- Assess human resource capacity and performance while ensuring conducive working conditions.
3. Optimize and Expand
- Enhance financial performance by boosting revenues and minimizing costs.
- Work with the Marketing and Product Development teams to create new products for existing markets and to expand operations into new territories.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive people development strategy.
- Formulate ongoing improvement plans for operational departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Education and Experience
- Background in marketing and operations.
- Bachelors degree in business development, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth and profitability.
- A minimum of 06 years of experience in senior management positions.
- Experience in product sourcing, logistics, e-commerce, or establishing operations is advantageous.
2. Specialized Knowledge
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Planning skills (project management) and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate logical and strategic thinking along with proficient presentation skills.
- Customer-centric mindset.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and leadership qualities.

- A motivated self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision and possess the ability to assemble and manage teams
