The Business Solution Consultant as part of the International Strategic Business Development team is an expert at managing high levels of complexity associated with new client implementations, new product / service launches and/or third-party data conversions involving a wide range of systems and technologies whilst balancing risk to achieve program objectives.

Crucially, the Business Solution Consultant is particularly adept at building and sustaining strong client relationships up to and including C level, where they become a trusted partner, ensuring ongoing alignment and ultimately satisfaction with program outcomes.

Ensure that transformed business service capabilities are a key enabler for growing incremental revenue in international markets. The key objective will be to drive Go To Market (GTM) development for growth, with a focus on supporting GTM Solution Capabilities for TSYS International Sales Regions.

Provide support to the International GTM team to increase market presence and client revenue growth through Solution Consulting to promote opportunities in Europe and AMEA:

  • Provide input into the build of the capabilities for direct and indirect GTM solutions for sales activities.
  • Support the expansion of penetration in high growth markets.
  • Support the development of partnerships that provide new channels to sell and deliver our products and services.

Support the commercialization of Cloud Solutions, by collaborating closely with Product, Pricing, and Commercial teams. This collaboration will ensure that we fully leverage the advantages of a modernized cloud solution, optimizing its value across our operations.

Play a key role in expanding our international value chain, facilitate the selection and resale of partner products and play a crucial role in broadening our value chain. 

Additionally, contribute to the development and launch of targeted sales campaigns, specifically designed for cloud-based products and support projects aligning with strategic modernization goals.

Be responsible for market penetration through campaigns that deliver incremental revenue.

Support the sales process and the sales effectiveness drivers for new and existing solutions.

Lead and foster co-operation and collaboration with other functions within the business to maximize efficiency to provide an integrated response to clients' needs.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Business Solutions Expertise: Provide comprehensive business solutions and service knowledge for international products, assisting in all stages, from specification refinement to partial or complete ownership of business solution design.
  • Strategic Analysis and Solution Design: Conduct thorough analyses to ensure accuracy and propose alternative solutions. This includes feasibility studies and risk assessments to prioritize deliverables effectively.
  • Client-Centric Strategy Development: Understand and integrate client needs into strategic plans that align with both TSYS and client requirements, ensuring solutions are tailored and relevant.
  • Project and Implementation Oversight: Monitor high-level implementation project and business service plans, ensuring projects stay aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Business Direction and Client Negotiations: Provide strategic business direction and assist in handling negotiations with clients to secure and finalize agreements.
  • Ensure alignment of project objectives with business goals and client expectations.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with business, technical, operations, and end-user teams to develop desired solutions.
  • System Requirements Review: Assess and validate system requirements to confirm they fulfill business needs, contributing to the overall integrity of the solution.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for complex projects, guiding teams through detailed requirement analyses and their impacts on customers and systems.
  • Team Engagement and Problem Solving: Participate in client-facing and internal team meetings to determine effective solution approaches. Address and resolve complex issues, leveraging specialized knowledge and experience.

Essential requirements:

  • 8+ years relevant experience in the financial services industry (preferably payment systems industry) and/or IT industry
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, MIS, Business or Finance
  • Experience and knowledge of application development methods and the software development lifecycle preferably with banking / payment applications
  • Demonstrated / proven ability to build relationships at different levels with a variety of stakeholders, up to and including C level
  • Experience of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
