About the job Finance Manager

  • Oversee all company accounts and financial operations
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Develop and maintain timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards (IFRS, MFRS)
  • Maintain all necessary financial administration and other work relating to Lubricant production planning, inventory control, and procurement at the Company's Place of Business, including budget planning, annual forecast, costing, taxation, and export/import matters.
  • Ensure all statutory requirements of the organization are met
  • Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and junior accountants
  • Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
  • Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Report to the Financial Controller with timely and accurate financial information
  • Assist Financial Controller in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Ensure that engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance, professional standards and local legal and regulatory requirements
  • Follow, advocate and continually improve the company's project management methodology and approach
  • Closely with all business units, Finance, Operations, IT and other organizations in order to drive critical projects on time, and on budget while meeting key business capabilities.
  • Create and execute a communication plan for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem
  • Monitor and report on budgeted project expenditures
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
  • Any other duties assigned by the superior

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • CPA or ACCA is highly desirable
  • 5 or more years of experience in Finance specific roles required, incl. areas such as project management, financial modeling and reporting, forecasting, budgeting, P&L management (international experience is a plus)
  • Ability to apply knowledge of MFRS and basic knowledge of IFRS
  • MS Office Suite, Visio, MS Project, Gantt Charts or other project management tools
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting systems
  • Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices and PMO (Project Management Office) best practices
  • Required strong financial analysis and presentation skills, problem-solving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possessed exposure to IFRS conversion would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience in structuring and writing formal documents, developing and delivering group presentations, project planning, and/or cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to: communicate complex financial reporting issues in an assessable way
  • Project management skills: Ability to work flexibly and to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to understand complex financial reporting issues in detail.
  • Ability to think objectively about financial reporting issues and to identify and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to understand and consider different positions on a particular issue and respond to and challenge them constructively.
  • Strong team ethic, with the proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others.
  • Preferred good English & Myanmar Language skills for effective business communications
