Head - Utility

Position: Utility Manager

Location: Rayong, Thailand

Reports To: Site Head

Job Purpose:

Manage and maintain the plants utility systems, including the Plant, Boiler, Turbo-Generator, and Air Conditioning system, ensuring continuous and efficient operation. This role focuses on uninterrupted utility services, maintaining quality standards, and maximizing power and steam generation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Efficient Operation of Utility Systems

- Oversee the operation of boilers and turbines to maximize steam and power generation.

- Monitor gas and steam consumption, identifying and correcting any issues.

- Coordinate with process, electrical, and instrumentation teams for smooth operations.

2. Maintenance and Quality Control

- Supervise routine maintenance tasks and ensure timely execution.

- Maintain steam and water quality by implementing corrective measures when necessary.

3. Safety and Compliance

- Ensure all utility equipment safety systems are in place and functioning.

- Perform regular safety checks, including hydro-testing of boilers.

4. People Development

- Participate in skill evaluation and development activities for the team.

- Engage in improvement initiatives like WCM, TPM, and QC.

Challenges:

- Ensure uninterrupted supply of utilities like water, steam, and power for plant operations.

- Optimize wastewater recycling and minimize water consumption.

- Meet all safety and regulatory requirements.

Direct Reports:

FLO Utility: Responsible for operating and maintaining the Plant, Boiler, Turbo-Generator, Air Conditioning system, Water Treatment Plant, and ensuring Zero Liquid Discharge.

Internal & External Relationships:

Internal: Daily coordination with Process, Materials, and Main Laboratory departments.

External: Regular interactions with Boiler Inspectors and other regulatory bodies.
