About the job General Manager of Accounting & Regional IT Support (Acc.& IT)
Position Overview:
As the General Manager of Accounting & Regional IT Support, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and regional IT support within the region. You will play a crucial role in
managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and risk management.
Additionally, you will lead the regional IT support teams in providing technical assistance and
ensuring the efficient operation of IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance and information technology, capable of driving
efficiency, accuracy, and technological advancements within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- o Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support business goals and objectives.
- o Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- o Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insightful recommendations to MD for improvement.
- o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
- o Implement internal controls and risk management processes to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws
- Implement accounting & finance policy following the direction of Sekisui Chemical.
- Consolidate data concerned among the affiliates of Sekisui Chemical in this region.
- Provide financial, legal and tax consultancy advice to affiliates
Regional IT Support Management:
- o Develop and execute the regional IT support strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring technology solutions meet regional requirements.
- o Oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, systems, and software in regional offices, including hardware procurement, network security, and data management.
- o Lead regional IT support teams in providing technical assistance to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving escalated problems.
- o Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements or upgrades to optimize regional IT systems and processes.
- o Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures specific to regional operations, ensuring adherence to security protocols, data privacy regulations, and the best practices.
- o Provide oversight that processes, tools and technologies are operating effectively to mitigate risks on data management related
- Collaborates with IT teams in affiliate companies and take the regional leading role in Regional initiatives related to systems, security awareness and compliance.
Leadership and Team Management:
- o Provide effective leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the accounting and regional IT support teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- o Set performance goals and objectives for team members, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing constructive feedback.
- o Foster a culture of continuous challenge and operational excellence within the accounting and regional IT support departments.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, HR&GA, EHS and management team, to support business initiatives at the regional level.
- o Providing financial insights, regional IT recommendations, and participating in strategic decision-making processes.
- o Build and maintain relationships with regional stakeholders, such as local finance teams, regional managers, and external service providers.

Qualifications:
- o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (20+ years) in financial management and IT leadership roles.
- o Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- o Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, software, and emerging technologies.
- o Experience in managing regional IT and Financial/Accounting operations , preferably in a multi-location environment.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- o Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as accounting software, and network security protocols.
