Job Overview

As the position will be groom to be assistant Head of Data and Head of Data in the future. The IT Data Management professional in a life insurance company, your primary responsibility is to oversee the acquisition, storage, and utilization of data in a secure and efficient manner in-house application (on-premise, and will have a plan transform to cloud). You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of data across various IT systems. As the Data Protection Officer in a life insurance company, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection laws and regulations, safeguarding the privacy of policyholders and stakeholders. Your role involves developing and overseeing data protection policies and procedures.

Role and Responsibility:

Data Governance:

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure the quality and consistency of data across the organization.
  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures, considering the unique requirements of the insurance regulator (OIC), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bank of Thailand (BOT)
  • Be accountable of all Data Management of the organization.
  • Foster a culture of data privacy and protection throughout the organization.
  • Data Architecture:
  • Design and maintain an efficient and scalable data architecture that supports the needs of the life insurance business, considering data storage, retrieval, and processing requirements.
  • Transform the organization to Data Driven organization that provides all data
  • Create standard tools of internal data for all users
  • Data Security:
  • Implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive customer information, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Stay abreast of data protection laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance with applicable standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other relevant laws.
  • Data Integration:
  • Oversee the integration of data across different systems to ensure seamless data flow and consistency.
  • Data Quality Management:
  • Establish processes for monitoring and improving data quality, addressing issues related to accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Data Analytics Support:
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to provide structured and reliable data for business intelligence and reporting purposes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns of all the data perspective
  • Provide tools and platforms for the analytic of the data across the organization
  • Data Analyze, Query data, create data warehouse and data modelling.
  • Incident and Recovery Planning:
  • Develop and oversee an incident response plan for data breaches, ensuring timely and appropriate actions are taken in the event of a security incident.
  • Develop and implement data backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data availability in the event of system failures or data breaches.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with data-related vendors and third-party providers to ensure compliance with data management standards.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Manage data 4 members in team.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Data Architect design who is can do data analytic, data warehouse, query data and data modelling.
  • At least 1 year experience in management team
  • Age should not over 40 years old (negotiate)
  • Relevant certifications in data management, such as Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP) or Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, database management systems, and data integration for financial data and insurance data.
  • Background knowledge in IFRS17 is advantage.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and data manipulation tools.
  • Several years of experience in data management, database administration, or related roles.
  • Experience in the insurance industry or a regulated financial sector is advantage.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify data-related issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Problem-solving skills to address data quality and integration challenges.
  • Be able to communicate well in English

Interview Process: 1 or 2 round with SVP Operation and Head of Data and HR

Benefits:
