About the job Senior Network Engineer
Senior Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security of network systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
-Planning, deployment, and management of LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, and cloud networking solutions.
-Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
-Manage network security including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
-Collaborate with IT leadership to develop network strategies aligned with business goals.
-Oversee network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
-Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., ISO, GDPR).
-Maintain documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures. Mentor and guide network engineers and support staff.
-Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies.
-Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in network engineering. Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network technologies. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG). Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewalls. Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication in Thai and English and leadership abilities. Experience in managing hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud).
Working Conditions:
May require occasional travel to remote sites.
On-call support may be required.
