About the job Project Engineer

We are looking for a Project Engineer technically sound in the refrigeration or MEP industry; you will play a vital role in supporting the successful execution of Refrigeration/MEP construction projects by providing technical expertise, coordinating engineering activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. You will work closely with the project manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate project delivery within established timelines and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and develop project plans with PM, PS, PC, and PPE.
  • Build and manage site teams according to project requirements.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of refrigeration works.
  • Attend site coordination and technical meetings.
  • Prepare bi‑weekly project reports.
  • Coordinate with clients and resolve minor issues; escalate major concerns to the PM.
  • Provide technical support by interpreting drawings, resolving design issues, and recommending solutions.
  • Coordinate engineering activities such as surveys, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance.
  • Review designs, specifications, and drawings; identify discrepancies and resolve them with the PM.
  • Support material procurement, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality, and budget.
  • Implement quality control measures and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including drawings and reports.
  • Assist in schedule development, progress tracking, and milestone management.
  • Support cost control through estimation input, expense tracking, and value‑engineering opportunities.
  • Ensure safety compliance through risk assessments, safety measures, and promoting a safe work culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of previous experience in big refrigeration or MEP projects or a similar role within this industry construction projects
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good Knowledge of Refrigeration/MEP industry regulations, codes, and standards.
