E-Commerce Assistant
Job Description:
We are in search of a meticulous and proactive E-Commerce Assistant to bolster our online retail operations. The responsibilities in this capacity include managing product listings, processing orders, addressing customer inquiries, and aiding in inventory management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain precise product listings on e-commerce platforms, ensuring descriptions, pricing, images, and specifications are up-to-date and meet company standards.
- Manage order processing, including entry, tracking, and fulfillment, and collaborate with warehouse and logistics for prompt and precise deliveries.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, handling returns/exchanges and resolving any order or product issues to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory levels on e-commerce platforms, work with the inventory team to secure stock availability, and address inventory concerns promptly.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the e-commerce website, manage content updates, product categories, and site functionality, and communicate technical issues to the IT department.
- Facilitate sales and marketing initiatives, such as discounts and special offers, ensuring they are accurately represented on the e-commerce platform.
- Record and update detailed data on orders, products, and customer interactions, and analyze reports on sales, customer behavior, and inventory for strategic planning.
- Research market trends, competitor actions, and customer preferences to inform and enhance e-commerce strategies and the online shopping experience.
- Support social media and digital marketing efforts for e-commerce, assist in creating promotional materials, and oversee online advertising campaigns.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and legal standards in all e-commerce activities and conduct quality control to uphold excellence in product listings and customer service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, e-commerce, or related fields; additional e-commerce or digital marketing certifications preferred.
- Experience in an e-commerce assistant role or similar, with a proven record in e-commerce operations, customer service, and order management.
- Proficient in e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, and CMS, with knowledge of data entry, inventory, and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing effectively.
- Basic analytical abilities to interpret data, create reports, and offer insights into sales trends and market dynamics.
- Adaptable to the evolving e-commerce landscape, platform updates, and shifting business requirements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and fundamental graphic design tools, such as Canva, is advantageous.
