 Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Possess a broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming; analyzes program, system and subsystem requirements.
Analyzes user requirements and systems issues, provides recommendations/possible solutions to resolve issues and improve system and program efficiencies.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments related to systems and program issues.
Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
This contract position would serve to support PSMBs programming team by tackling some large, one-off projects including: Utilizing forms recognition & OCR, reading forms (To be applied to our Microfiche, Document Imaging, or Workflow projects).
Reworking the Quicktime audit process to remove dependence on MS Access, use signature fields on the PDF files (currently a manual task), and make tracking, reporting, and updating results easier to accomplish.
Sharepoint site for PSS versus PDF - give to training branch after converting to maintain Research ideas like changing most work instructions into read only files (pdfs or web pages), then creating a batch process to maintain those copies of files (leaving the originals for POD to maintain/update)/
Incorporating new technology like ChatBots, Search Engines, and Generative AI to enhance discoverability of topics Researching and finding solutions to help leverage existing auditing spreadsheets with calculations with ADS. (expanding SIM, replacing spreadsheets with screens, creating power apps)
Researching and finding solutions to help leverage existing MS Access projects with ADS. (same as spreadsheets above) Microfiche digitization-  either helping to create the index of existing fiche, working to digitize the fiche using existing processes, helping to develop a Microfiche software solution that could be incorporated into ADS on completion.
A new SF-1150s scanning process solution possibly making the current print/scan/upload to secure transport process simpler, utilizing OCR & Secure Transport automation if possible.
