Chief Accountant

Responsibilities: 

• Oversees the Accounts department to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial information provided to management and to facilitate the completion of the annual financial audit; 
• Develop and implement financial and operational policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the department for daily operational and monthly closing purposes; 
• Provide timely information, support and recommendations to CFO on all financial aspects 
• Maintain and review the financial information of the Company to ensure adequacy and the compliance with statutory reporting requirements 
• Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets 
• Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources. 
• Perform ad hoc projects 

Requirements: 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines 
• Certified Public Accountant, Member of a professional accounting body 
• Minimum 10 years of accounting and / or auditing experience in insurance or banking industry 
• Experience in financial reporting in HKFRS and Hong Kong Insurance Companies Ordinances 
• A good problem solver and with strong sense of ownership and self-motivation 
• A team player with proven leadership qualities 
• Good in data analysis and attentive to details Excellent conceptual, communication and interpersonal skills 
• Fluent in Mandarin, English and Cantonese
