Activus are assisting our client in Kintore, Aberdeenshire to recruit 2 Assembly Operatives to assist in the manufacture, assemble and pack filtration consumables to fullfill customer orders.
This role will be on a temp-perm basis (approx. 3 months temp becoming permanent for the right candidates)

Main Responsibilities:

  • To manufacture, assemble and pack filtration consumables.
  • Safe use of manual and automated machinery.
  • High level of quality ensuring traceability and compliance is maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Employ high standards of assembly work to ensure high quality products are being produced on schedule.
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
  • Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures.
  • Communicate and work with others on the production line to ensure accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
  • Maintain an organised and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety procedures.
  • Perform other assembly line duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Adhere to the stock control system and report any shortages or issues to the Team Lead Filtration and Stores Operative.
  • General workshop labour.
  • Assist with stores duties when required.
  • Any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.
  • Keep work areas clean and organised.
  • Adhere to all Company policies and processes.
  • Comply with Health and Safety policies and processes.

  • Contribute to maintaining a positive QHSE culture by taking reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others at all times. Be prepared to challenge unsafe acts and behaviour and report these using the correct reporting procedures.

Requirements:

  • No formal qualifications or certifications required.
  • Have relevant industry knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to work to a high standard or workmanship.
  • Ability to learn new skills.
  • Work to tight deadlines in a safe and accurate manner.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in diligent and safe manner.
  • Experience of working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment beneficial, however full training will be given.
  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable self-starter who can work independently as well as within a team, and under own initiative.
