CNC Machinist

Activus Recruitment is delighted to work on behalf of a Welding, Fabrication and Machining specialist, building hard-wearing components used in extreme environments to top surface bracketry and frames.

We seek a skilled CNC machinist to join their team in Methlick.

Role and Responsibilities

Key duties

• Set and operate a range of CNC Machines (Lynx, DNM & Puma)
• Create and edit programs at the machine
• Carrying out dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measuring equipment
• Be competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• General housekeeping
• Must have a good eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and precision

Experience

• Several years CNC machining experience.
• Conversant with setting & operating CNC mills & Lathes
• Ability to confidently set and operate CNC mills & lathe's
• Proven self-inspection skills
• Familiar with a range of materials (Aluminium, steel, stainless steels & super alloys)




Qualifications / Training

• Technical / Mechanical qualification preferred but not essential
