Job Title: Nuclear Med Tech

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Med Tech to join our team in Abilene, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for using radioactive materials to diagnose, treat and research various medical conditions. The ideal candidate should have experience in nuclear medicine procedures and equipment, including gamma cameras, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation detection instrumentation.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Perform diagnostic imaging utilizing nuclear medicine procedures.

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic examinations.

Operate nuclear medicine equipment including gamma cameras, and other radiation detection instrumentation

Observe and follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to protect patients, healthcare workers, and the public from radiation exposure.

Maintain accurate patient records and submit procedure reports in a timely manner.

Assist with the proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.

Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in the interpretation and implementation of findings.

Participate in continuous education and training related to nuclear medicine technology.

Qualifications and Skills:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiologic Technology or a related field.

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

State licensure and registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Flexibility to work weekends and off-hours as needed.
