Position: Radiologic Technologist

Location: Iowa City, IA

Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 AM to 02:30 PM, plus on-call hours as needed

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Iowa City, IA. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and providing high-quality patient care. Cath Lab experience is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic procedures including X-rays, fluoroscopy, and specialized imaging as required
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards
  • Follow established protocols and procedures to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely interpretation of images
  • Assess patients' medical history and ensure proper identification and documentation of images
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Provide excellent patient care and comfort during imaging procedures
  • Assist with patient education and preparation for procedures as needed
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license or certification in the state of Iowa
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with specific Cath Lab experience
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment, and procedures
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining imaging equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and image acquisition
  • Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards
  • CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
