Job Summary:
The Social Worker works under the direction of a physician and plays a vital role in assisting patients and their families in various healthcare settings, including residences, outpatient clinics, and inpatient units. The primary objective is to provide support, adapt, and plan an interdisciplinary approach to treating the patient-family system. This role involves direct clinical services to patients and families, collaboration with the healthcare team to implement social work services, and coordination with community human service agencies to address the needs of patients, families, and the hospital. As this position is considered safety-sensitive, maintaining constant alertness and working safely is crucial. The Social Worker will also perform other assigned responsibilities as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Master's degree in Social Work. They should also hold a valid state license or certification in social work, such as LCSW or LMSW.
