Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is based in Honolulu, HI. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and assistance to patients in a healthcare setting. It is essential that you have received the COVID vaccination. Additionally, you must be available to work every weekend, with a schedule of 2/8 and 2/12, totaling 40 hours. Rotating shifts will be part of the job, and certification through Prometric Hawaii is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Help patients with mobility by transferring, repositioning, and ambulating.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
  • Assist with feeding patients and ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
  • Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or mental condition to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
  • Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • COVID Vaccination: Must have received the COVID vaccination.
  • Weekend Availability: Must be able to work every weekend, with a schedule of 2/8 and 2/12, totaling 40 hours.
  • Certification: Must be certified through Prometric Hawaii as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a CNA is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices. Good observation and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects. Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
