Position: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Midland, TX

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Midland, TX. As a Hospice RN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their end-of-life journey. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the physical and emotional comfort of patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the physician
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, pain levels, and overall comfort
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the hospice care process, symptom management, and end-of-life issues
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, social workers, and chaplains, to ensure comprehensive care
• Document patient care activities, progress, and changes in electronic medical records
• Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and families throughout the hospice journey
• Collaborate with community resources and organizations to facilitate additional support services as needed

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice, palliative care, or a related field
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to provide compassionate and dignified end-of-life care
• Knowledge of pain management, symptom control, and comfort measures
• Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation
• CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
