Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Phoenix
Job Summary: The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering respiratory care procedures, both routine and complex, using various techniques and equipment. The primary goal is to ensure that the care provided meets the quality standards set by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies. The Respiratory Therapist must possess the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver safe and effective care to patients of all ages, ranging from neonates to adolescents. Additionally, active participation in quality improvement initiatives is expected.
Education Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Level 3 NICU and/or PICU.
Certification/License/Registry Requirements:
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the NBRC.
- Current State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Membership with the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is preferred.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.
