Job Title: Radiology Tech
Job Summary:
As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and mammograms, on patients to produce accurate and high-quality images. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including radiologists, nurses, and other medical staff, to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort
- Operate and maintain equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Monitor patients during exams to ensure safety and prevent complications
- Keep accurate records of patient procedures and maintain patients' medical histories
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images to identify and diagnose medical conditions
- Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in imaging technology and techniques
- Meet established productivity standards and schedule patient appointments
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in radiologic technology or a related field
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Valid state licensure to practice as a radiologic technologist in Oklahoma
- Ability to operate and maintain radiologic equipment and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful medical environment
