Role Summary:

The Project Director will work with one of our key clients and is responsible for the overall management and delivery of the project. The Project Director will provide direction to the PMO and will have overall responsibility and accountability for the project including staffing, performance of the project, deliverables, issues and resolution. ;

Responsibilities

  • Management and Administration
  • Fully understand the project scope and ensure the project implementation plan is in line with the agreed scope and resources
  • Finalize project plan with key stakeholders and obtain sign-off
  • Provide leadership, direction, guidance and coaching to the project team in relation to project approach (including project activities, risks and issues) to ensure each phase of the project completes on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with the client leadership team to execute on deliverables
  • Review status reports of Project Managers and address issues as appropriate
  • Facilitate executive and project board governance meetings
  • Identify and mitigate project risk to avoid delays and cost overruns
  • Communicate with leadership teams and key stakeholders to ensure they are kept fully updated on project progress, any deviations from the plan and project risks
  • Oversee selection and training of staff, assign clear roles and responsibilities, provide effective supervision, and manage performance to ensure efficient operations
  • Attract, retain and motivate staff
  • Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins and utilization of resources across all streams of the project. Identify ways to maximize efficiency and reduce cost

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters degree or Advanced degree (minimum, Masters degree) in a relevant field from an accredited university with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership position managing complex projects, out of which at least 5 years in the UAE within the healthcare sector.
  • Experience working with Agile projects
  • Bilingual ( Arabic Mandatory)
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, communication and driving for results
  • Proven ability to write technical reports and program documents, and deliver presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic and the ability to communicate cross-culturally.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing C suite level, preferably at government entities
  • Project Management Certification is an added advantage
