IT Trainee

Ability Advocates, in collaboration with Inner West Council is thrilled to offer an innovative 12-month trainee program designed to help people with disabilities thrive in the workplace, and to foster inclusive workplaces.

With quarterly intakes and paid traineeships and wrap around supports for both the trainee and Inner West Council including specialised team of allied health professionals, recruitment, employment and disability specialists traineeships are designed to have a positive outcome for the applicants and Inner West Council.

We are calling an eager IT trainee to join the team in the ICT Department where you will be able to work with highly diverse teams where you will be contributing to making a real difference while rapidly building your IT skills.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • Provide first level HelpDesk technical advice and support when using applications and systems
  • Triage and manage resolution to incidents relating to applications, devices, desktop equipment, audio equipment or Microsoft applications
  • Create, add or change IT requests on the IT system
  • Maintenance of hardware, software and usage
  • General administration and assistance with setting up new hardware.

What we are looking for:

  • Individuals with experience or knowledge in the field.
  • Individuals that have a genuine interest and passion to problem solve IT related matters.
  • Ability to show importance of excellent customer service through communication and service provision.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

You will be liaising with internal and external clients.
