Logistics Manager

Position: Logistics Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the movement, storage, and delivery of our products to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers

- Manage and coordinate the transportation of goods from suppliers to warehouses and from warehouses to branches

- Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.

- Coordinate the timely and accurate fulfilment of customer orders.

- Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate inbound shipments and ensure on-time deliveries.

- Implement cost-effective solutions to optimize logistics expenses.

- Address any issues related to damaged or defective products.

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure efficient use of warehouse space

- Oversee the tracking and tracing of shipments to ensure on-time delivery

- Manage and optimize the use of warehouse equipment and resources

- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics processes

- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements

- Analyze data and report on key performance indicators to improve logistics operations

- Train and supervise logistics staff to ensure high-quality performance

- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall supply chain efficiency

- Develop contingency plans for unexpected events that may disrupt logistics operations

- Ensure readiness to respond to emergencies or disruptions.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management

- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management processes

- Great analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent negotiation, collaboration, and communication abilities.

- Ability to multitask.

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

- Meticulous attention to detail.

- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
