Job Purpose:

To supervise the daily operations of the auto rental fleet, ensuring optimal vehicle availability, maintenance, and cost efficiency. The Fleet Management Supervisor oversees the team responsible for fleet operations and collaborates with other departments to meet customer needs while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

      • Oversee the daily operations of the rental fleet, including vehicle allocation, availability, and scheduling.
      • Supervise the fleet team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training to ensure efficient operations.
      • Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
      • Manage the registration, licensing, and insurance of all vehicles in the fleet, ensuring compliance with regulations.
      • Collaborate with the rental operations team to meet customer needs, ensuring timely vehicle deliveries and pickups.
      • Address customer complaints or concerns related to fleet conditions, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining satisfaction.
      • Monitor fleet utilization rates and operational costs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
      • Implement cost-control measures, such as fuel optimization and preventative maintenance programs.
      • Ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and company policies related to fleet operations.
      • Maintain accurate records of fleet inventory, maintenance schedules, and operational metrics.
      • Prepare and present reports on fleet performance, including utilization, costs, and maintenance data, to senior management.
      • Supervise the handling of vehicle accidents, insurance claims, and other incidents involving the fleet.
      • Implement safety policies and procedures for fleet operations, ensuring adherence by all staff.
      • Work closely with service department to maintain high-quality vehicle servicing and timely support.
      • Assist in evaluating fleet performance and recommending upgrades or replacements to align with business objectives.


Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Automotive Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management or automotive operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and oversee vehicle operations effectively.

Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of fleet management practices, vehicle maintenance, and operational logistics.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
