Job Purpose:

To manage the full product lifecycle and pricing strategy to maximize profitability, competitiveness, and market growth. The Product & Pricing Manager oversees product portfolio planning, market analysis, pricing structures, and supports sales and marketing teams with data-driven insights and product positioning.


Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Manage the full product lifecycle planning, launch, performance monitoring, and phase-out.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
    • Define product positioning, specifications, and value propositions.
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to support new product introductions.
    • Monitor product performance and propose improvements or adjustments.
    • Develop and implement pricing strategies to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
    • Analyze market pricing, competitor offerings, and cost structures to recommend pricing updates.
    • Set wholesale, retail, and promotional pricing in coordination with finance and sales teams.
    • Monitor margins and profitability by product line and recommend corrective actions.
    • Support tender pricing and special project quotations.
    • Conduct regular market and competitive analysis to support decision-making.
    • Prepare pricing and product performance reports for senior management.
    • Identify business opportunities and gaps in the market to expand product offerings.
    • Work closely with marketing to develop product communication and launch strategies.
    • Support sales with product knowledge, pricing rationales, and commercial support.
    • Coordinate with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure product availability and forecasting accuracy.
    • Evaluate the financial viability of new products and pricing changes.
    • Provide profitability, elasticity, and cost-impact analysis for proposed price adjustments.
    • Control product-related budgets and contribute to annual business planning.

    Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
    • Masters degree (MBA) is an advantage.

    Experience:

      • 5 - 7 years of experience in product management, pricing, or commercial roles.
      • Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, retail, power products, or related industries is preferred.
      • Strong understanding of product lifecycle and pricing models.

    Competencies:

      • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
      • Excellent understanding of market dynamics and competitive strategy.
      • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
      • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and ERP/CRM systems.
      • Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
