Position Overview

Abacus is seeking an Apigee Architect with 10+ years of experience to design, implement, and manage API solutions on cloud platforms. The role involves working on API gateways, cloud provisioning, and enterprise integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for the creation of new Apigee X organizations
• Translate requirements to scalable Apigee X architecture
• Implement and manage Apigee add-ons
• Blueprint the northbound and southbound Apigee network design
• Collaborate with development team on API development and lifecycle management
• Handle BigQuery data management and reporting
• Manage GCP and Azure provisioning for API-related infrastructure
• Collaborate with teams on solution architecture and system design
• Integrate authentication solutions such as Okta (CIAM)

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in API development and management
• Strong hands-on experience with Apigee X and Hybrid
• Experience with GCP and Azure environments
• Knowledge of API lifecycle management and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with BigQuery and cloud data handling
• Experience with identity and access management tools (Okta preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have strong knowledge of Apigee provisioning
• Good to have thorough understanding of GCP networking

• Exposure to enterprise-scale API implementations
• Understanding of API security and governance best practices
• GCP Certified Cloud Architects
