POSITION OVERVIEW

The SM: DevSecOps Engineer (Senior) will be responsible to drive seamless integration between development and operations, enable delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable telecom services through automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

They will leverage automation tools and practices to streamline and accelerate software development, infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes thereby promoting efficiency and consistency.

They will collaborate with other squad members to integrate development and operations, automate processes, ensure scalability and reliability as well as prioritize security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define goals, roadmaps, and timelines for achieving continuous integration, deployment, and delivery in the sprint product/service release

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure components

• Establish and manage robust continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable frequent, automated software releases

• As a chapter lead collaborate and work closely with other chapter leads to align on the overall software CEO strategy, drive synergies and achieve engineering excellence

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to provide real-time visibility into the performance, health, and availability of telecom systems and applications

• Utilize technologies like containerization (e.g., Docker), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and load balancing to ensure system scalability and reliability

• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents quickly and effectively

• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security measures, best practices, and compliance standards

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, implement access controls, and ensure data protection and privacy with regulations like GDPR

• Foster collaboration between development, operations, and other teams involved in the software delivery lifecycle

• Guide junior team members, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote best practices in DevOps methodologies

• Lead incident response efforts during critical system failures or outages and Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security

• Evaluate existing processes, tools, and technologies to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Propose and implement enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce costs etc.

• Coordinate and execute releases into production environment thereby ensuring delivery as per agreed timelines and scope

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, experimentation, and innovation within the DevOps team

• Encourage learning, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance processes and drive innovation

• Assess feedback from team members, and track improvements in team performance and skills development

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics and Communication

• Post graduate degree in Computer Science /Networks and /or equivalent professional qualification (Preferred)

Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant working experience

• 4-5 years of experience in technical architecture and application development, or operations

• Expertise in optimizing applications in standalone as well as distributed systems environment to maximize performance

• Experience with CI/CD tools, infrastructure automation, monitoring systems and incident management

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus

Skills :

• Proficiency in scripting languages ( e.g., Shell, Python )

• Strong knowledge of telecom systems, protocols, and industry standards

• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices

• Ability to analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions to maintain system stability and performance
