Job Description:
Assistant Manager Payable and Taxation
Accounts Payable Management:
- Supervise accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payment disbursements.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
- Manage vendor relationships, including setting up new vendors and verifying tax documentation.
- Prepare and analyze AP aging reports and ensure timely clearance of outstanding liabilities.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Oversee payroll disbursement via direct deposit, checks, or other payment methods.
- Verify payroll data for accuracy before finalizing disbursements.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
Tax Assessment & Compliance:
- Support income tax assessments and assisting in tax audits.
- Maintain tax records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Prepare financial and tax-related reports for management review.
- Review and ensure accurate tax withholding, reporting, and remittance for vendor payments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: ACCA/CA Inter/ACMA or masters degree in accounting, Finance, or any equivalent level of education.
- Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in accounts payable and tax compliance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. CA firm experience will be preferred.
