Accounts Executive
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness, verify against purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
- Enter invoices into the accounting system with proper coding.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all payable transactions.
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Schedule and prepare payment runs, including cheques, digital payment transfers, and other methods. Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and obligations.
- Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and other reconciliation issues.
- Monitor and review expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls related to the payable process.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Commerce (M. Com) or Bachelor's (Hons) degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in accounts payable; CA firm experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
- Effective communication skills for vendor interactions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, especially during peak periods.
- Knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting standards.
