Accounts Executive

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness, verify against purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system with proper coding.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all payable transactions.
  • Prepare and assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Schedule and prepare payment runs, including cheques, digital payment transfers, and other methods. Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and obligations.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and other reconciliation issues.
  • Monitor and review expense reports for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls related to the payable process.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Commerce (M. Com) or Bachelor's (Hons) degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in accounts payable; CA firm experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Effective communication skills for vendor interactions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, especially during peak periods.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting standards.
