Job Description: GCP Solution Architect Migration Specialist

Location: Egypt

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Solution Architect with hands-on experience in designing, planning, and executing cloud migration projects. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform, strong architecture design capabilities, and the ability to guide clients through complex migration journeys from on-premise or other cloud environments to GCP.

Key Responsibilities - Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing GCP architectures tailored to business and workload requirements.

• Develop end-to-end migration strategies including assessment, planning, design, and execution phases.

• Lead architecture discussions and provide best-practice guidance on compute, storage, networking, security, and data solutions in GCP.

• Create architecture diagrams, solution blueprints, and technical design documents.

Migration Delivery

• Conduct application and infrastructure assessments to determine migration readiness.

• Execute migration of applications, VMs, databases, and workloads using tools such as M4A (Migration for Applications), M4C (Migration for Compute Engine), M4D (Database Migration Service), Velostrata, Cloud Storage Transfer Service, etc.

• Optimize existing workloads for scalability, cost efficiency, and performance after migration.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during migration with minimal downtime.

Stakeholder & Client Engagement

• Work closely with clients to understand business requirements, technical constraints, and transformation goals.

• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, security, and data teams to deliver cohesive cloud solutions.

• Conduct migration workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and technical training for customer teams.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure all migrated workloads comply with best practices and company security policies.

• Implement IAM roles, VPC architectures, firewalls, and encryption standards during migration.

Documentation & Governance

• Prepare solution documentation, migration runbooks, and architectural artifacts.

• Establish operational governance and post-migration optimization guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Masters preferred).

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (mandatory).

• 510 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a minimum of 3+ years in GCP migration projects.

• Strong understanding of:

• o Compute Engine, GKE, App Engine

• o Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Spanner

• o VPC, VPN, Interconnect, load balancers

• o Cloud IAM, KMS, Security Command Center

• o Terraform, Ansible, or other IaC tools

• o CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
