Role Summary

Abacus is seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join the Digital Transformation team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure while enabling efficient CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a strong technical foundation, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments

• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security across environments

• Collaborate with development teams to streamline release cycles and improve system reliability

• Manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and resilience

• Implement best practices for containerization, orchestration, and microservices

• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, ensuring minimal downtime

• Maintain system documentation, processes, and operational procedures

• Enforce security, compliance, and governance standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience

• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

• Experience with cloud platforms preferred GCP (AWS, Azure)

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools

• Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in agile or transformation-driven environments

• Knowledge of security best practices and DevSecOps principles

• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible,Puppet,Chef)

• Exposure to microservices and distributed systems
