Role Summary

Abacus is looking for a talented and driven AI Engineer to join the Digital Transformation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI and machine learning solutions that address real-world business challenges. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning and AI models

• Analyze and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets

• Develop AI-driven solutions using machine learning, NLP, or related technologies

• Optimize and fine-tune models for performance, accuracy, and scalability

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products and workflows

• Implement model monitoring, evaluation, and maintenance strategies

• Contribute to data pipeline design and feature engineering

• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and best practices

• Document models, methodologies, and technical processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI / Machine Learning roles

• Strong proficiency in Python and common ML libraries/frameworks

• Experience with machine learning algorithms and model development

• Experience working with large datasets and data preprocessing techniques

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)

• Experience with NLP, predictive modeling, or related domains

• Understanding of model evaluation and performance optimization

• Experience deploying models into production environments

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based AI/ML services

• Knowledge of MLOps practices

• Experience with data engineering or pipeline development

• Exposure to real-world business applications of AI

•  Familiarity with containerization or scalable ML deployments
