Overview

The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting a Senior Program Manager by leading, executing, developing, and growing various programs. The position requires collaboration with a diverse team of mechanical, software, electrical, and systems engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others. The Project Manager will assist with planning, executing, and coordinating multiple projects, including advanced concept and prototype development, procurement, manufacturing, and implementation of cutting-edge maritime technology.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team to identify and fulfill customer requirements with innovative, cost-effective, and reliable solutions in support of U.S. Department of Defense programs.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for subcontractors and vendors.
  • Organize and prepare for daily, weekly, and ad hoc meetings, including developing agendas, meeting minutes, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), and tracking action items.
  • Support the Senior Program Manager in executing complex, high-reliability ocean hardware/software systems within an ISO 9001 environment.
  • Assist the Senior Program Manager in financial, schedule, and staff planning across the program and business.

Basic Qualifications

  • Independent, self-starter with the ability to lead a team and establish strong collaborative working relationships with government customers, technical staff, senior managers, and peers.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of total experience.
  • Basic project management skills or demonstrable equivalent aptitudes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must have a current Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) contracts and missions.
  • Experience operating, designing, or managing in a maritime environment.
  • Experience with manufacturing and defined deliverable programs.
  • Familiarity with project management basics, such as developing a schedule.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $72K - $130K
