WORKING LEAD INSTALLER/TECH - $28-35 /Hr

Hours: 8:00a - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday)


The Install shop Lead is a working lead position that participates in installs as well as plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the install shop. Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive install shop sales, increase profitability, create install shop policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. Maintain high install shop standards and conditions and foster a positive environment.

Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Forecast staffing needs and develop a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Complete install shop operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results

- Maintain install shop staff by working with H.R. to recruit, select, orient and train employees.

- Maintain install shop staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results and communicating with H.R.

- Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures

- Safety-Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean install shop environment

- Maintain the stability and reputation of the install shop by complying with legal requirements

- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures

- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

- Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent

- Work with H.R. to address staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting performance reviews, as well as providing or organizing training and development

- Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met

- Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues

- Handle multiple projects

- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures

- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill

- All other duties as assigned

- Must be able to lift 10 -50lbs

- Able to work some overtime or weekends as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 - High school diploma or GED is required. Associate degree or two years of technical school and/or 6 months previous experience preferred

 - Must obtain proper certification to operate forklifts or other heavy machinery in the warehouse.

- Customer minded team player with effective communication skills

- Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment

- Ability to work with team and customer towards issue resolution

- Computer skills (preferably Excel, Word and NCR) and organizational abilities.

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Intermediate English language reading, comprehension and communication skills are required.

- Communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.

- Basic mathematical skills Ability to add and subtract, two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s using units of American weight measurement. The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

- The ability to multitask.

- Reading, reading comprehension and business writing skills are required.

- Fluency in the English language is required.

- The ability to comprehend and perform to expectations related to applicable job description, work instructions, procedures, objectives and personnel policies is required.
