Yard Associate

Position: Yard Associate
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (Weekends Off)
Pay Rate: $18/hr.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Associate with some forklift experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading fencing materials, including wood and metal, and handling various other tasks within the yard. This role requires physical strength, a positive attitude, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and Unloading:
  • Load customers with fencing materials such as wood and metal.
  • Load and offload flatbed trucks efficiently and safely.
• Material Handling:
  • Handle and transport materials, including lifting up to 80lbs bags of concrete.
  • Utilize forklifts to assist with the movement and organization of materials.
• Safety and Maintenance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure the yard is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Wear steel-toe boots at all times while on duty.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Communicate clearly and positively with customers and colleagues.
• Weather Resilience:
  • Perform duties outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  • Some forklift experience is required.
• Physical Ability:
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing over 80lbs.
• Attitude and Teamwork:
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to assist colleagues and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Safety Gear:
  • Must wear steel-toe boots.
