Job Description - US Individual Tax Team - Senior Tax Associate (Japanese Expatriates)
One of our clients, an international CPA Firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Tax Associate to join their growing US Individual Tax team. This role will focus on providing tax services specifically to Japanese expatriates residing in the United States.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex US individual income tax returns for Japanese expatriates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Analyze tax implications of various income sources, deductions, and credits applicable to Japanese expatriates in the US.
- Conduct in-depth tax research to stay up-to-date on the latest tax laws and regulations impacting Japanese expatriates.
- Communicate effectively with clients in both English and Japanese to gather necessary tax information, answer questions, and explain tax concepts.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for Japanese expatriates.
- Prepare and manage client documentation, ensuring all records are complete and organized.
- Collaborate with other tax professionals within the team to ensure seamless client service.
- May participate in staff training and development activities.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in preparation and/or review of US individual income tax returns for Japanese expatriates.
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university and eligible to sit for the CPA exam or licensed CPA/EA.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Japanese is required.
- Ability to multi-task various client responsibilities through prioritization of activities.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and research skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong technical skills in US individual tax compliance and research.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
