About the job Accounting/Logistics Assistant

Our client, a chemical manufacturer, is seeking an Accounting and Logistics Assistant in New York.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing Accounting and Logistics activities in the United States of America, including but not limited to

Prepare and verify daily reports

Prepare daily income/sales and prepare daily journal entry

Prepare daily deposits of sales receipts

Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts

Communicate with manager and others working on the accounting tasks

Prepare checks

Compile monthly reports

Investigate and collect outstanding invoices

Issue Invoices

Input AP Expenses

Prepare and Submit Monthly Payment Lists to Management for Approval

Provide assistance to prepare financial statements

Bank Account Reconciliation, manage AR and AP accounts

Creating invoices, inform payment status and cash collection in a timely manner.

100% Achievement on accuracy to reporting financial information.

Complete accurate purchase orders to HQ office according to customers orders

Negotiate with HQ office to obtain best shipping schedules for customers.

Contact customers to confirm delivery date and address.

Respond to delivery related inquiries and concerns from customers.

Forward the shipping documents to custom brokers and customers

Coordinate with the forwarding agent and provide accurate, up-to-date

information to customers

Notify customers about any delivery delays in advance

Enter the daily PO transactions into our system

Prepare proper invoice for billing to our customers

Monitor consignment inventory carefully

Issuing Purchase Orders, send Invoices and Purchase Orders,

inform delivery status in a timely manner

Upgrade Logistics Systems by developing SAP or SAGE process

manual detailing filing and shipment tracking methodologies,

logistics presentation for Sales people

Provide Logistics updates to staff on a weekly or monthly basis.

Ensure all customers support done correctly and on timely basic.

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.


Office policy:

Working hours:

Generally, you will be expected to work 40 hours per week.

The regular office hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., with unpaid one hour lunch time

between 12:00 noon and 2:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.


Others:

Salary: based salary per calendar year; pay semi-monthly

FLSA Exempt Status: Non-Exempt position

Introductory Period: 3 months

Performance evaluation: annual basis at around the end of the year

Vacation days: 1-3 years: 10 days; 4-10 years: 15 days; over 10 years: 20 days.

Personal & Sick days: 7 days
