A renowned luxury hotel located in the heart of New York City is looking for talented individuals to join its team.

Job Description for Revenue & Reputation

  • Review and analyze market and competitive intelligence on a daily basis.
  • Use analysis to update selling restrictions and inventory controls in C-RES and PMS.
  • Authorize update of selling restrictions in distribution channels (GDS, third party Internet, etc.) on a daily basis, ensuring rate integrity.
  • Prepare 10/14-day forecasts for the hotel on a weekly basis, taking into account market trends, to ensure proper staffing, and distribute to operational departments.
  • Monitor daily inventory and the occupancy levels of the current month and the succeeding 3 months to alert Sales of low or high occupancy for proper action plans.
  • Maintain technical expertise on all relative components of C-RES database (SynXis) and have the ability to utilize those components to increase RevPar.
  • Prepare 90-day forecasts monthly, in conjunction with the RSM and Group Sales manager, for final submission to the Team on the first week of the month.
  • Responsible for submitting data to any industry related source for analysis and comparison (i.e., STAR reports), weekly and monthly, showing the historical performance, enabling us and the sales team to benchmark weekly and monthly against the competitive set.
  • Complete annual RevPar Index goals with the ESM.
  • Work with the team and Marketing to formulate special rates and promotions.
  • Formulate the hotel room revenue budget using a systematic approach including day-by-day forecasts by segments in conjunction with the ESM.
  • Set a clear path and ensure that all resources are utilized to maintain and/or increase RevPar Index.
  • Be part of the daily/weekly business review meeting with the ESM and Sales Team.
  • Conduct Weekly RevMax Meeting for the property and communicate to Reservation(s) Team(s) any change in sales strategy and ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with Marketing for the branding position and placement for promotions and packages.
  • Continuously look to improve the revenue management process through the investigation of new tools, methods, and procedures, and implement changes accordingly.
  • Gather comprehensive knowledge of Top Accounts for the hotel, for our specific markets and new trends.
  • Conduct displacement analysis for groups and long-term business when required, review forecast report in order to check groups which are tentative and control room availability closed-out dates.
