General Position Summary
This position is responsible for achieving sales and profit goals in the assigned sales channels by working with brokers and distributors worldwide and planning and implementing sales promotions.
Essential Job Functions
SALES MANAGEMENT
Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Prepares annual budget and quarterly and monthly sales review. Provides prices quotes, proposals, and credit terms to current and prospective customers.
Oversees, directs and supervises field sales reps activities; reviews and evaluates work and performances of the field service reps activities.
Reviews and maintains timecard for subordinate non-exempt employees.
Follows up on all customer calls, visits, and inquiries.
Researches and identifies potential customers.
Contacts retailers via telephone, e-mail, letters, and in person regularly and follows up.
Develops and maintains relationships with retailers.
Sends samples and follows up customers.
Is responsible for responding clients phone calls, questions, and requests.
Works with brokers and distributes in an effort to sell company products in the U.S. markets.
Attends and exhibits at trade and consumer shows.
Plans and implements customized sales promotions on a national and/or regional level and for specific retail chains as required.
Responsible for coordinating sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Prepares and provides presentations for brokers, distributors, and retailers.
Be aware of the internal staff process and arrange for the proper delivery of the order.
Is responsible for receiving and confirming orders.
Enters sales and profit data per customer/ product.
Analyzes sales trends and operating efficiency, product presentations, and best practices in order to maximize profit.
Identifies and handles retailer needs or problems in a timely manner.
Is responsible for regularly tracking sales leads and sales volumes for business.
Contacts retailers in order to troubleshoot problems as needed.
Maintains a correspondence log of current and potential clients.
Creates retailers contact reports.
Enters new retailers data, requirements and other sales data for current retailers into computer database.
Plans business objectives, develops organizational procedures.
Handles troubleshooting and works internally and with retailers on specific issues.
Plans, negotiates and implements private brand products.
Supports retailers, distributors and brokers on sales activities.
Evaluates brokers and communicates contact terms to them.
Performs other tasks as needed to manage the companys sales operations.
Designs strategies and ensures that all the day to day services have been controlled and that all the retailers needs have been tackled successfully.
Works along with the team members and evaluates their perfornance on field.
OTHER & MISCELLANEOUS
Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less costly ways and means in work processes.
Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Management.
Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.
Maintains good communication with management, office staff members and outside contacts.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
Takes care of guests from HQ(Japan) when needed.
Comes to the office in Torrance, CA for internal meetings or other occasions upon request by supervisor.
Qualifications
Education Experience
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience
Related experience of more than six months.
