About the job Project Manager - Civil Delivery
An established Tier 2 civil contractor, with a strong reputation for delivering major transport infrastructure and urban development projects, is seeking an experienced delivery Civil Engineer to join its North Queensland operations. A resilient project spread has seen them successful deliver projects amongst disaster recovery, complex transport infrastructure, large-scale urban development & resources projects.
This is an opportunity to play a key role across a portfolio of road infrastructure and residential subdivision projects, working within an experienced project delivery team that values practical engineering, collaboration and accountability, who hold a strong pipeline of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and urban development projects.
As Queensland continues moving towards more collaborative procurement and delivery approaches on complex infrastructure, our client has positioned itself as a contractor that demonstrates technical capability alongside strong stakeholder management: factors that are becoming increasingly valuable delivery partners such as TMR and land developers.
The role would suit either a highly capable Senior Project Engineer looking to take the next step, or an established Project Manager seeking a long term opportunity with a contractor that continues to secure quality work throughout Queensland and some one who enjoys autonomy to lead projects, make engineering decisions, mentor teams and build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading the delivery of civil construction projects from commencement through to completion, ensuring safety, programme, commercial outcomes and quality standards are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project delivery across road and urban development projects
- Leading engineers, supervisors and subcontractors
- Contract administration and commercial management
- Programming, planning and resource coordination
- Client and stakeholder management
- Cost forecasting, reporting and budget control
- Ensuring compliance with quality, environmental and safety requirements
About You
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Proven experience delivering Queensland road infrastructure and/or residential subdivision projects
- Strong knowledge of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) specifications, standards and project delivery requirements
- Experience managing project budgets, programmes and commercial performance
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients, consultants and delivery teams
